The Common Pitfalls of DIY Advertising
So when a lot of people set up their own ads what they’ll do is they’ll set up an ad, let’s say we’re talking about Facebook. They’ll do a Facebook ad and what does it say in the ad? They typically have something like, “we are the best company to provide you this service call us today.” Now what happens here. Now what you’re hoping is that these people will now maybe click on the ad to go to your facebook page right. You’re probably hoping that will happen. You’re probably hoping that maybe they’ll leave Facebook and do a search on the web and find out a bit more about your business. But you know advertising, the most effective advertising, reduces the friction. It helps people to contact you.
The Crucial Element: A Link to Your Site
I was on the phone yesterday with a guy who is doing this. And we’re discussing Facebook advertising and he said “yeah I did Facebook, it doesn’t work for me.” He said that. I looked at his ads and what he missed out on was a very simple thing. He didn’t include a link to a site. You know, “visit my site at dub dub dub Mysite.com. So he didn’t he didn’t make it easy for these people to become a potential lead for him, right? So he didn’t set himself up. He didn’t set his advertising up to work. I mean he didn’t know, and that’s fine. But you know, if you don’t make it easy for people to contact you, then it’s not going to work.
Beyond the Click: Conversion Challenges
What then happens even if he had done that. What would be the next step? Let’s say they saw the ad and and they click on the link right. A lot of people will do this. They’ll send the ad directly to their website. So now they’re on their website. Most websites you know like general non-optimized websites may convert at like 2%. Let’s say 5%. We’re going to shoot high. So 5% conversion. What a conversion is, is when somebody goes to your website and they actually turn into a lead. If your website has a 5 percent conversion rate, that means 95% didn’t convert!
Revolutionizing Conversions: The Advanced Marketing System Approach
So let’s take let’s take the crazy word conversion out of there. So we can change conversion to lead. So 5% turn into leads. 95% do not turn into leads! So that means for every 100 people you sent to your site, 95 don’t contact you. That’s a big number! If you’re on Google, you’re spending you know, let’s say you’re spending $2 per click. So for a hundred people that’s $200. Let’s do $1. If you spend $1 per click, that means you got five leads okay. But $95 was wasted.
The reason I say it’s wasted is because they didn’t contact you. This is the end of the road for your advertising! This is what most people do! What I want to show you is how you can not only get those leads, or potentially a higher conversion rate. We’re talking 10, 15, 20 or more. You want to get a higher conversion rate. But how could we not lose these 95 people? That’s where I’m more advanced Marketing System comes in.
Retaining and Converting: The Remarketing Strategy
So you’re wondering okay well James how do we keep those 95? How do we get those 95 people right? Basically it’s called remarketing. And I’m going to show you what happens with ad remarketing. So the 95% of the people who didn’t convert. 95% didn’t convert so now what happens to these people is they see a remarketing ad. They see another ad over here and this ad says “hey I noticed you visited my site but didn’t get in touch please click here for an additional 5% off your first order jobs / invoice,” whatever it is you’re offering.
Sweetening the Deal: Advanced Remarketing Tactics
That 95% didn’t convert off the first offer, right. So if we offered them 10% off in the Facebook ad, which is another thing, the guy wasn’t doing. There was no offer. From 10% off in the ad in the first ad and they don’t convert, let’s sweeten the pot. Let’s sweeten the deal now. Now we show those people another ad, a second ad saying “hey, how about another 5% off, up to 15% off.” And these are 95 people who we lost.
They would have been gone otherwise, but now we have another opportunity and we’re offering them a better deal! So at that point they might take the bait. And we can advertise to these people, believe it or not, for up to six months! I’m just staying top-of-mind. They visited your website, at some point they were interested. So let’s keep advertising to them!
Maximizing Leads: Going Beyond Traditional Approaches
What’s another part of an advanced Marketing System? These people here. What about these 5% of leads or potentially more. There’s another thing we do for those people okay. We get their name, email and phone number. They saw a great offer, 10% off or whatever it is you’re offering. They said, yeah, you know what. Let me get that coupon. Let me get that offer. So now what happens. We get their name, get their email and phone number. But it doesn’t stop there! Right now what we can do, is we send them to a scheduling page. Let’s say you are a service provider of some sort. These people can literally schedule a time with you! We had the lead info, but now the lead schedules an appointment with you. How great is that?
Crafting a Seamless Experience: Advanced Landing Page Strategies
At this point you know we’ve already expanded upon that first ad. We’ve better developed the first ad, and now they’re going to our website. You know. I’d actually set up a specific landing page that would convert better than 5%. I would shoot for a higher much higher conversion rate than that. But now we would send them to a specific landing page that ties into the Facebook ad for congruence. And now we’re getting more leads. And then these leads, once we get their info so that you can contact them, their next step is going to send a message.
Schedule with us today! At that point, we could put that same offer out there you know. Schedule an appointment for an additional 5% off. So now they didn’t even know about the offer we’re putting out here to the people who didn’t convert but they learn about it here. And we say, if you schedule with us today get 5% off additionally, so a total of 15% off of your bill. Or you can do a dollar amount. Save up to $300 here you know, and if you schedule today that will save an additional $200. For $500 off! Now it really makes an offer, it’s really enticing to these people to consider that right.
The Ultimate Choice: Elevating Your Marketing Game
So let’s say they still don’t schedule. You know that they contacted you and gave you the information. They don’t necessarily want to schedule, you know it’s too hot and heavy, right? So here’s what we also can do. This is another great thing about an advanced Marketing System. I do what’s called a nurture sequence. So for the people who do convert, the people who do give you their contact info, the first thing we do is we can send them a text message. So we send them a text message, an SMS message and this message would say. Maybe an hour later.
We’ll know that they didn’t schedule right, so we say. “hey thanks for contacting us we tried to call but missed you” Click here to schedule and save an additional 5% on your job! 15% total” Wow what a savings! So now we send them a text message stating this. Again we’re making that same offer. We’re saying click here, and when they click on the link in the text message it’s going to go right here to the scheduling page. You know this may be a little like wow. This is a lot. But you don’t have to do this. This is what I would do for you.
Closing the Loop: The Advanced Follow-Up Strategy
At this point they can actually go to the scheduling page, and at that point, they’ll see that same offer. See what’s happening here now? What happens if they don’t click and schedule from the text message? What we do is we could send a few emails. We can send them emails because we have their name email address and cell phone numbers. So we sent an email one, with the offer and schedule with us link. And then we keep doing that. Obviously, you don’t want to get annoying so we have to figure out the right messaging. And you don’t want to have a 10-month follow-up. But in the least, you want to have let’s say two or three emails over the course of several days that make that same offer with them.
Email one and then this will be email two and then ctrl-c ctrl-v, I will do email 3. So all the while, all these emails are pushing them back to to the scheduler page. And all of these emails are an intricate system, and this is why it’s an advanced marketing system. This is why it’s better than what some people are doing on their own. So now we have all of these leading back to that schedule or page right where they actually schedule with you.
