Hey guys, how you doing? Its James Martinez here giving you another free funnel strategy video. So today the strategy the industry that I’m working in is one that I built websites for but I’ve actually not built a sales funnel for so I went ahead and built a sales funnel for friend Joe who’s in the barber industry owns a barber shop okay.
Exploring the Untapped Potential: Crafting a Sales Funnel for Barbershops
So. I recently caught up with him was great to see him and we were discussing business stuff like that. And I said you know what, that’s something I’ve actually never built a sales funnel for is for a barber shop. So, I wanted to take a stab at you know, I always like to put myself in the business owner’s place right so if I was my friend Joe, if I owned a barber shop, what would I do to get more customers right? How would I get more people walking through the door?
Strategic Offer Creation: The Key to Attracting More Customers
Okay, so you know, this is this free funnel strategy session for a barber shop and it can apply to any business that’s the most important thing I know I say that in all my videos you can apply this to any business. You may not own a barber shop but you own a hair salon or you own a nail salon. You know, the same process applies okay so you know, take the time to watch this video and hopefully it’s useful to you but what I’m showing you is how I would get more customers and more clients through the door. If I owned a barbershop, let’s take a look at what I put together.
Crafting an Irresistible Offer: Free Straight Razor Shave
So, my buddy’s barber shop is in Blue Point New York, okay and it’s called Two King’s barbershop shave parlor. Okay. So, you know you know, to drive people you need an offer, right? So, the offer that I’m putting out there right now is to get a free straight razor shave okay?
Creating Urgency: Limited Time Offer with Scarcity
So now, you know this will be obviously for guys but a nice, a nice shave. There is nothing like a straight razor shave, okay and once you’ve had a straight razor shave nothing compares so you know, a straight razor shave just for a quick beard shave I think it’s like 10 or $15, right? So, I said, you know what I would probably enter to get a free straight razor shave because it’s worth it to me you know to get a free shave and you know, be nice and clean shaven and I love the feeling of a good shave. So that’s the offer I put out here okay, limited time offer. Get a free straight razor shave okay I wanted to add a little bit of scarcity, right? So, I said only, seven spots left ok.
Building Trust and Connection: Video Introduction by the Owner
So, what are we doing? We’re putting the offer out there, we’re letting them know, it’s only for a limited time, we’re letting them know they’re getting something for free and we’re letting them know that there’s only seven spots okay? So obviously it immediately positions this as some somewhat of a scarcity sort of a thing and you know what it’s free and there are few spots left, I need to get it now. So now I put a little bit of information, okay, get the best shave you’ve ever had free for a limited time at Long Island’s best barber and shave shop Two King’s barbershop and Blue Point, and then I put the address, right?
Engaging Content: Video Introduction and Social Proof
So, on this page, I would have a video here. Okay, now this is just a holder video player holder video but this video would be a video of my buddy Joe, you know, probably under two minutes, just you know introducing himself, you know how he got into being a barber why he loves it so much and why he’s, you know, the best barbershop on Long Island. Okay, so we would swap this video out for something, you know, more particular for him and his business. Okay and you know, then- then people are already developing a relationship with them. Okay, so the guys who are watching this, are already starting to build somewhat of a rapport because now they know the owner of the place okay and they know that he’s offering them a free shave okay? So, you come down here after they watch the quick little video and claim you’re 100% free straight razor shave now. Even the call to action, these buttons? Yes, I want a free straight razor shave. I mean, it doesn’t get more simple than that. Right? So, you know, so these calls to action are very, what’s the benefit of free straight razor shave? So that’s what I put there ok.
Boosting Credibility: Showcasing Facebook Reviews
So now if they’re still on the fence okay then I put a little bit of social proof, right, so I put some Facebook reviews.
Leveraging Social Proof for Conversions
Now my buddy Joe’s shop has over 165-star reviews on Facebook, okay, which is pretty impressive in my opinion. So, he’s got, you know, over 2000 likes for his shop. So that’s he’s doing really good on social media, you know, he’s got a good following and he’s got a bunch of really good reviews. So, at this point, I put some of those reviews. These are snapshots directly from Facebook and also as people are going through and looking at these reviews, okay, I keep putting the call to action. Yes, I want a free straight razor shave. Here’s another great review. Let me read this. Let me read this. Let me read this. Boom, call to action.
A button. Yes, I want a free straight razor shave ok? So, I do that because I want to make it as easy as humanly possible. There’s only one action to take on this page and it’s to get a free straight razor shave. So, I want to keep hitting that home and then I’ll show them pictures of great, you know, great shaves. Now probably I would put it before and after. You know, like it would be great if this guy you know beforehand had a big scruffy beard and looked at you know but like I do right now because I could use a shave, I got to go hit Two King’s, so it’d be great to have a before and then an after but you know something along the lines of this but you could see, you know, we’d swap this app for some really more straight razor shave before and after type pics and again you just have yes, I want a free straight razor shave and then the map okay, people who live in the blue point New York area will be familiar with this map to say okay, I’m right over here, or I’m over here, I’m over here. That’s pretty close I’m going to take advantage of this and then again with the address, okay?
So, if they click if they finally click ok, we’ve informed them who the businesses we’ve been formed them on the offer, and now there’s nothing else for them to do here. There’s literally nothing else for them to do but hit this button that says yes, I want a free razor shave okay, so they hit that button and a box pops up. Now it’s I got this one matching his logo that Maroon there but it says 50% complete like you’re almost there. Okay, enter your details to get your free straight razor shave, and then I like to put here we will only use these details to contact you about scheduling your free shave. Okay. So, you know, we’re driving home the benefit of free shave, free shave, free shave, give us your info, go to free shave cliché. So, you know, we have to make that free shave enticing. That’s what we do with all the pictures video and social proof on the page. And then they say, Okay, at this point, they’re either going to fill it out or they’re not okay, there’s only one action to do.
So, they’re going to do whatever they want okay? So, let’s say they go ahead and say, yeah, claim my free shave. Okay. Now at this point, they brought to a second page. Now, the thing I like to do here is keep the loop open as they say okay get rid of the shine. You’re almost done. Wait! I thought I was done. No, you’re almost done okay? Now that little progress bar says 75% complete and now, they’re probably in their mind.
Maximizing Conversions: Seamless Transition to the Next Step
They’re like oh well okay, what more do I have to do here and it tells them to schedule your FREE shave online right now and you’ll also get an additional 30% off our full-service haircut and style ok. So free shave 30% off of our full service. These are the benefits to them ok? For doing what? For scheduling online okay. Schedule online right now and then we’ll have we’ll have a calendar here okay?
So, let’s take a look obviously we’re telling them they have to schedule okay to get the offer. Now my buddy at this point, Joe, my buddy, Joe already has the name, email address, and phone number ok? So, he can reach out to them. If indeed they never schedule if they get to this page and they don’t schedule, my buddy already has their information and he can contact them, right?
Hey, this is Joe from Two Kings Barbershop. I noticed you claimed you had a free shave but you never scheduled it. You know, is there anything you know, how’s your schedule looking this week, I love to get you in and give you that free shave and meet you and you know, what show you how great Two King’s Barbershop services are.
Strategic Follow-up: Utilizing Contact Information for Marketing
So, he’s already has, he already has what he wanted. This is kind of just like the icing on the cake to get them to schedule for themselves right. So as far as his calendar is concerned, okay the beautiful thing about these online schedulers is this is actually can be connected to his Google Calendar okay, and now if he tells me hey, Jr you know, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are really light days, I would love to get more foot traffic on those days.
Well, guess what? We can have this scheduler only have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday appointments available right or if he says, you know, you know, Saturday, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon from two to five is dead, I’d love to get up. You know, I’d love to get some more heads in at that time. Great, we could set this calendar to fill up his schedule at a time when he needs more people, right? So, we could do that or we could just have the calendar you know, open for full hours that he’s open, however, we want to work it okay but this calendar is tied directly to his Google Calendar. So, if somebody fills out a time on here, it actually goes directly to his calendar and he’ll know immediately like, oh, bam, cool. I got another appointment on Tuesday at 2 pm. I got another haircut and another free razor shave coming in.
Now, you know, you may be thinking well okay, well, that’s great but that’s you’re working for free. Yeah, but if he’s there anyway, if the shop is dead from, you know, Tuesday 12 pm to 5 pm but he goes in any way he opens at 2 pm or whatever the case may be, he can at least be doing something he could at least be getting people in the door, giving him a shave and then saying, hey, listen you know since you’re here for that free straight razor shave we can give you 30% off the full service you know, you get a haircut, you get will give you a hot shave, will do a skin fade raise your skin fade, we’ll actually do styling, we put our palm eight in your hair, we do all this great stuff and you know, you walk out of here looking like a king, right? So, you leave two kings, and then now there’s a new king walking out the door.
So that’s the idea is to get them in and upsell and now when someone walks in for a free shave, you know if someone says hey, listen, you for an extra 10 bucks, 20 bucks, 30 bucks, 40 bucks, like, you know here’s this you know, it’s an opportunity to upsell okay, so if it’s kind of slow times anyway, you might as well be getting people in the door and having the opportunity to upsell them and then also now they know of your shop, now they’ve been there ok.
Unlocking Additional Revenue Streams: Upselling Opportunities
The other thing we could do is at this point they’ve already given us the name, email, and phone number, right? So, at this point, we could have our system emailing them five to seven times those called marketing touch points. So now my buddy Joe could be emailing this person and he wouldn’t be doing it himself, we’d have an automated system going but this person would get five to seven emails saying, hey you know, thanks for getting in touch with Two Kings barbershop. I’m not sure if you scheduled yet but you know while you’re in the area, there’s a, you know here’s a great spot set to grab a bite to eat, you know, delis within the same shopping center is so that may be another draw for the person ok and it could also say hey, you know, here’s a little bit more information about the owner, here’s a little bit more information about the shop, here’s a little bit more information about the town, here’s a little bit more information about the other barbers in the shop.
Enhancing Customer Engagement: The Power of Automated Email Campaigns
There’s just so many options to do but you need that contact information to do it, don’t you? So that free razor shave, got them got my buddy Joe, their contact information at this point, he can contact them and we can market to them you know forever until they unsubscribe or you know just, you know, we call them and they say, listen, I’m not interested, that’s fine great but for all the people who get to this point, there’s going to be a very low drop off rate because they’re getting something for free and we’re also going to hit them up several times to build that rapport with them right. So, they’re on the calendar here and at this point, you know maybe they’re not ready to schedule okay? So, they start looking around. So, we tell them, this is a temporary online offer. So, take advantage and schedule today. We could actually put a little countdown timer here, you know, need be but then I would also add more social proof ok. I would use different reviews, I use the same three but I would have a few more reviews maybe these ones would be like talking about the full service, right because that’s the additional offer 30% off our full service.
Creating Urgency and Social Proof: Driving Conversions
So maybe we’d have some reviews or ask you to ask some people, hey give you mind giving me a review about my full-service workup and then we would put those reviews here. So people are like oh man, this guy’s saying, you know, he felt like a million bucks walking out of two kings when he got the full service and again, here’s the call to action buttons, click to schedule your FREE shave ok, so we’re still driving home, you still need to schedule that free shave and at this point, they come to the calendar and they’re scheduling with Joe, okay, so at this point, when they click on this you know, they could pick a time, okay, 30 minutes, okay and let’s say I’m going at lunch and it gives them okay, free razor shave a Two Kings. It’s a 30-minute cut okay it’s 65 Mulzac Highway Blue Point, the appointments 12 to 1230 on Monday, June 10 and then I enter my details here okay. Now we already have name, email phone number. So, he would be matching it up with this and saying, okay cool man this guy actually went through and scheduled himself. So, when we hit schedule event, we can have this calendar, go to his website saying, hey, thanks for scheduling with two kings. We’ll look forward to seeing you in the shop, whatever, we can have a go to another page that tries to sell them. Something else maybe you know, six months subscription of haircuts okay, like a chair cuts costs $30, let’s say roughly, so that’s $180 but if you pre-schedule if you buy six haircuts today, we’ll give it to you for $120 and that’s 30% off.
You know we could take them down the funnel and just you know, people can potentially be loading Joe’s calendar up for him, he doesn’t have to do the work. They’re literally putting themselves on his calendar, and buying all these things.
Streamlining Scheduling: From Click to Appointment
So, what I haven’t doing right now is going to a social media so okay, answer my information I want to schedule for my free you know, my free shave. So I hit scheduled event and now I’m going to go to his social media, okay and now I can have this go to his reviews page, I can have a go to his plain, you know, barbershop page, where once they’re here, you know, net now they’re seeing okay, look it’s got 104.8 out of five. He’s got over 2000 likes, okay all these all these great reviews and recommendations. So, at this point, you know, they could write, hey I just scheduled an appointment, you know, so they can get in touch here on the social media okay.

So hopefully you guys see that this, this sales funnel works for anything okay? It doesn’t have to be straight sales; we can make this sales funnel actually sell something like I said, a haircut subscription. For 30% off, we can have people scheduling with the barbershop online, we can have, you know, we can have this, this, this initial page have a list of the barbers at the barber shop and when they click it goes to their own funnel for their services.
